Kaitlin and Seth were married in June at Fussell Farm in Northwest, North Carolina. The venue was a real hidden gem tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains with some of the most beautiful views that provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. Kaitlin planned the entire DIY wedding herself and she was one of the most organized brides we have had the pleasure of coordinating with. She even had color coded folders with all the wedding details inside for each of the vendors (can you guess she’s a teacher? 😊) Kaitlin and Seth met in middle school so this day was a long time in the making. They are two of the most genuine and kind people and as soon as we saw them together, we could tell how deeply they cared for each other.
The day began with coffee (of course) and then set up was underway at the venue. Kaitlin opted for rustic centerpieces with wooden tree slices, greenery and candles. The couple is obsessed with Cheerwine, which originated in their hometown of Salisbury, so the wedding favors were an obvious choice. The wedding party was able to get ready in two of the cutest groom and bridal suites that were both located at the venue location. Kaitlin even shared a sweet first look with her father that was captured perfectly by Erika El Photography.
After guests had arrived and found their seats the ceremony began and was officiated by one of the couple’s best friends. As soon as Seth saw Kaitlin walking down the aisle, I could tell it was going to be an emotional ceremony. When they each exchanged their handwritten vows there was not a dry eye at the farm.
Following the ceremony, guests were able to enjoy a delicious pasta buffet provided by Pepper’s Restaurant & Bar at the reception. Kaitlin and Seth were then able to enjoy their first dances and speeches surrounded by loved ones. The Ultimate Sound DJ Company provided the tunes and guests spent the rest of the night breaking it down on the dance floor. A perfect day came to a close with a sparkler send-off that sent Kaitlin and Seth off into the night.
